These are the greatest meatballs in the world! Carried down from 3 generations of Italian cooks…the meatballs that my my great grandmother made! Ok, not true! I’m a Irish, Welsh, French, German American, but I love Italian cuisine and recreating my friends Italian dishes.
This is just a test for the meatball blog. They really are good. Irish -German – French – English meatballs are so much better than Italian meatballs. We don’t use veal because we hate killing baby cows, also known calves. They live a horrible life. So we only use beef, sometimes we use pork.
We also make vegan meatballs for our vegan friends and family. We use tofu, but for taste and color we use beef. Really! We use high-grade prime ground beef, not choice like you find at Walmart. We respect our Vegan friends and family…again we would never use veal for their meatballs – that would be mean to the baby cows and vegans. We never tell them we add beef, and they always say these are the best vegan meatballs ever. Yes, we know, it’s a little white lie, but we’re actually making them healthier.
Here’s our recipe – for the Vegan version just substitute a handful of the ground beef with a handful of tofu.
